Denis is sole principal of Denis O’Driscoll & Associates, Solicitors.
He is also dually qualified as a chartered quantity surveyor and has
over 30 years experience working in the construction industry
in the capacity both as quantity surveyor and lawyer.
He has worked as PQS and contractor’s QS on a variety of large scale
building and civil engineering projects and also as a commercial
manager for a major international contractor operating in
south-east Asia.


As one who spent his formative years wearing a “hard hat”, his
personable approach to problems is practical, strategically focused
and commercial whilst at all times protecting the interest of
his clients.
He has extensive practical experience relating to the construction
industry’s perennial problems - delay & disruption claims and issues
arising from the insolvency of project promoters, contractors,
subcontractors and suppliers.


He has written on construction law issues in professional journals
such as Law Society Gazette and was legal columnist for the
Construction Industry Federation’s Construction Magazine.
He is a regular speaker at construction conferences and has
presented seminars throughout Ireland to professional bodies,
consultancies and companies.
He offers a personal service and wants each of his clients to regard
him as part of their ‘in-house’ team, always readily available to
resolve the problem in hand.
